I have been creating art since the 1960s. Only in the past ten years or so have I called myself an artist. I love to use both watercolor and oil paints and, occasionally, prismacolor pencils and pastels. My favorite subjects are birds, flowers, landscapes, and people in action. I mostly paint in what is called ala prima, meaning the painting is finished in one setting, however long that might be. I earned a fine arts degree at Georgia Southern University.
